WHY ART MADRID?
PRIVILEGED LOCATION
The Galería de Cristal del Palacio de Cibeles is a spacious, bright and central venue in the cultural heart of the city, a short walk from the Triángulo del Arte and Paseo del Prado. It has been home to Art Madrid for over a decade. Art Madrid takes place within Madrid’s Art Week, the moment of greatest concentration of collectors, institutions and specialist press in the Spanish art calendar.
A DISCERNING AUDIENCE
An audience that is active in buying and with a strong institutional profile. In the last edition, Art Madrid was visited by representatives of more than 30 foundations, museums and collections —among them Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson, Fundación Studiolo, Fundación Carmen y Lluís Bassat, Fundació Lluís Coromina, IVAM— as well as representatives of Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid, the Ministry of Culture and ambassadors from several countries.
PROGRAMA DE COLLECTORS
Since 2021, Art Madrid has been accompanying new and experienced buyers with a personalised advisory service throughout the five days of the fair. In the last edition, this service generated transactions of around €500,000, excluding direct sales by the galleries. The programme, sponsored by One Shot Hotels, is led by Ana Suárez Gisbert, an art advisor specialising in international law and the trade of artworks, valuer and judicial expert.
